where you insert a disk and then press down a lever at the front of the
drive. It locks in the 'down' position. To get the disk out again, you

position. Then lift the lever slightly and the disk will spring out.
In my (limited) experience, most 8050s seem to have Micropolis mechanisms.
My drive has the latter model (Micropolis).
