There are many hardware incompatabilities between hard disk controllers.
But SOME of the stuff that is not readable at a DOS or DEBUG (L, W) level
may still be readable by BIOS access. For example, whether sector numbers
start with 0 or 1. Remember that the first hard drive thinks that it is
number 80h
