So when did Wal Mart start selling phasers? And no one can tell me
where to find the transporter around here. And where does one buy a
HAL-9000? Seems like true AI is just like controlled fusion--about
30 years out, no matter when the question is asked.
I still love those old sci-fi "B" movies where a computer is shown as
some piece of industrial control gear--chart recorders and all.
