I located a copy. It talks about the invention of moving-head 4 track serpentine
GCR-encoded cartridge tape. I was trying to figure out which company did it. I knew
that they were an early developer of multi-track fixed head non-serpentine decks.
I found a couple of other patents they held, which I uploaded to bitsavers.
One describes a 3M-looking cartridge that held tape wider than 1/4".
There are also a bunch of patents from various companies on getting the head out
of the way so that you could build an edge-loaded tape drive that would permit a
drive to be built in a 5 1/4" form factor.
