on both ends. I never would have guessed it being called a wart.
Having never seen the transformer/power supply/wart/whatever, I didn't know
it was of the inline variety.

I have one of these at home, I'll take a look and then post the answer. I
do recall that the power cord that plugs into the laptop has a simple
coaxial plug. This turns out to be a common point of failure since it is
very easy to break the power connection by bumping the plug while it is in
the jack. The jack is soldered to a pc board in the laptop and is not very
strong mechanically.
