I agree with you, there. Unless I know that I'm going to need some
GUI interfaced program, I generally install *nix without X.
Ditto, or if I feel a need to occasionally have a GUI, I'm likely to use
Motif as the Window Manager, as somewhere in the past, it became light
weight (which just boggles the mind).
