with just a few cables and some software - having an KIM-1,
two cables and a PC with two EPP ports is any hardware to do -
eventualy (some changes in the task) even one cable will be any
'special' hardware - and if we define the pinout of the IBM-par
as I/O connector, everybody has just to bring his own cable (with
his contestant computer of course), if he wants to participate.
Ok then, are you going to supply every contestant with a KIM-1?

P.S.: If you wana do it, I sugest Day 1 for the
contest, and a
reservation of the speaker room for two hours on day two,
for the contestants to show their result (respective their
ideas).
Sounds good. If you want to design the rules for me (that doesn't require
a KIM-1 for everyone :) then we'll do it.
