The platen adjustment for horizontal (located on the right side of the
platen when looking from the front of the machine) is already at its
foremost location.
I'm not familiar with the ASR-33, but from the Siemens 32e I remember that
the hard-rubber roller platen got too hard with age. That caused poor
print quality.
