Thanks for the info, Guy! Very interesting information! :o) But
isn't there any kind of lubrification on the surfaces of these packs?
Why would there be? The heads *never* touch the surface (if they do
that's a head crash). It's not like modern non-pack drives. The
heads are retracted back so they are completely clear of the surface
(s). Otherwise how would you remove the pack?
