But why is this a problem? It can boot LocoScript, CP/M, SymbOS (
http://www.symbos.de/ ) and I have a feeling that there is/was a
Contiki port for it as well ( http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Contiki
). There's quite a variety of OSs.
What would you want to change the ROM for?
