I think that news link from old-computers.com was probably supposed to be
http://www.old-computers.com/club/collectors/woozgotwat.asp . There have
been multiple registries based on system type but typically they're hosted
just by a person with interest and either gain no momentum or fizzle out
over time. Not sure who a good resource to host such a thing would be.
I've thought about it in general just to get a nice inventory somewhere
including serial numbers. I think it'd be nice also in the off chance of a
stolen system.
