I suppose "picked up" was a bit of an understatement. However I don't think
the reality of the fact that a Honeywell 316 is sitting in my sun room has
quite sunk in. Thank you for the advice. I will certainly follow it.

The power supply has no cord coming out of it.
What is does have is a
standard 3-prong plug sticking out of the back, just like the kind that
plugs into the wall. So, can I just run an extension cord from it to the
wall, or is there something more to it than that?
I would imagine this has some big fat caps that would need to be
brought up to nominal voltage slowly in case they need to be reformed. I
would definitely try to find a Variac to bring this up slowly over the
course of a couple hours, say 5 volts every 5 minutes.
