I think here it's quite similar. There are modern
printing shops, of
course. The companies that could afford new and big machines survived...
There is a very active mailing list for folks interested in printing at
letpress at listserv.unb.ca (LISTSERV software, send a SIGNON LETPRESS message
to listserv at unb.ca .
Letterpress machines are still around, sometimes
standing next to the
latest and greatest "Speedmaster" machines. They're used for <don't
know
the word, but the works that don't need ink>>.
The term in English is "diecutting".
