My last sale on ebay with paypal ate ~15% of the sale price with
instant buy paypal's 6% vig and the ebay 9% cut.
And you don't know their cut until the end of auction and payment.
I'll never sell on that service again. Let them die.

It looks like Etsy is trying to cut into eBay's market a bit, allowing
a wider range of items as long as they can be sort-of stuffed into the
"vintage" category. This competition can't be a bad thing, IMO. It
remains to be seen if items there can get anywhere near the exposure
ebay offers, though.
