Only a few paid the fee to be able to use the MCA architecture, the rest got
together and did EISA.
A 5000 would be fun for the collection, but I have not seen any of the clone
MCA machines for sale anywhere (unless I missed one on ebay).
I wonder what the IBM machine with the same config would have cost, maybe
the Tandy was a bargain. I think in 1989 I might have just purchased a
286-12 Packard Bell.
