The mass of TI99 files in this latest set
triggered a thought. A
large part of the early "microcomputer" experience centered around
the "user groups" and their public software collections. Collections
which simply disappeared in many cases when the groups faded away
under the onslaught of the PC... I've searched in vain for years for
an archive of the Capital Heath User's Group files which primarily
targeted the 8bit Heathkit H8 and H/Z89 systems. While the CP/M
archives for various platforms seem documented fairly well (and
reasonably available), some of the others (such as the Heath groups)
would definitely seem appropriate for search and rescue by such an
organization.....
If you've got something that you'd like to see available on
archive.org, just upload it and then let the admins know what
collection you'd like it added to.
