I know nothing about componenent-level electronics, so this may be
nonsense, but if SD-RAM would be easier to interface to than DDR, I
think you'll relatively easily get it still. I am happy to donate
about 30-40 SD-RAM DIMMs of sizes from about 32MB to 128MB and I know
another listmember has as much or more, as he lives here too.
Or plain old fast-page mode DRAM, as used before DIMMs came in? I have
quite a lot of old 72-pin SIMMs lying around - mostly 4MB - and I bet
they'd be quite plentiful, too.
