For all I know (and have seen), the RL01 had a metal front without "RL01"
printed on the front, and the RL02 had a plastic front with "RL02" printed
on the front. I have never seen an RL02 with a metal front! Neither
heard of RL02a.

Me neither, very interesting. I'd sure like to know if there's any
real difference.
Adrian, can you shoot some pics of these RL02A drives?
