because that sounds like it will work the best. so the ISO file is the WHOLE
DISC, boot tracks and all, and will burn the image exactly as it was copied?
I have had knowledge and worked with ISO files, but they have always been a
gray area for me as to how they worked. thanks for the ideas!
It should boot. SGI MIPS workstations boot from a small partition
containing a stand-alone shell. They don't really use "boot tracks". As
long as you make an image of the whole CD rather than just the main
partition, it will work (and Linux doesn't support partitions on CDs, so
that is all that you can do under Linux).
