But no, I was referencing the signalling used on the telco side. Two-
bit symbols.

It's about
as hopeless as telling someone that a 2400 bps 201B modem
does not run at 2400 "baud".
Actually, it _does_ - on the host serial port. (Unless I'm _still_
confused about exactly what a baud is....)
