This would approximate early television. oops..
now I've mentioned
something from the 1920's.. but no one on this list probably has such a
mechanical monstrosity with (some kind of) a 'video' input. modern TV set
with built in tuner does not qualify -must be monitor not TV.
Folks are still building those beasts, Nipkov disks and all:
Mine is, alas, a modern one, I built it when I was at school (around
1980), so it's nowhere near the oldest display unit I own...
A couple of years back I found a 'Newnes Television Handbook' in a
secondhand bookshop. I grabbed it, of course. It dates from 1937 and
covers mechanically-scanned TV _only_ (no CRTs at all).
