Doesn't one need a clean room to fix that problem?
(I've got a Micropolis 1325 which seems to have that problem)

Personally I have unstuck 1325 drives without a clean room and not had
any problems, but that has been for hobbyist purposes only and I would
not want to guarantee that it will be fine for you. And the drives still work afterwards?

Not that I know of, but I can explain it.
