This brings something to mind: I've received system
purchased systems
and boards on E-bay and from people on this list that came packaged in
ways not protected at all from static, such as wrapped in plastic bags
Tomorrow, Sat, is the hamfest at TRW and one way to alway spot me is that I
carry a big bucket to haul away my loot. The bottom is filled with empty
static bags, and sometimes I have to laugh a little at myself picking some
board out of a heap and immediately putting it in a static bag. It may have
spent the last few years in a plastic or cardboard box, but now that its
mine, into a static bag.
I am such a static bag fiend, I must have a box with close to 30 lbs of
static bags stashed in it, plus that is just my "recovered" bags. I have
hundreds of new ones that I have purchased.
