Thanks for the idea, but it's not quite what I'm working towards.
One of the guys I used to work with had a lovely little ARM based Psion
organizer that he used as a dumb terminal, but that's going to be in the
same category as the palmtops above.
If you're looking for something more like a commodity laptop, how about
just using a commodity laptop? They are, afterall, common as dirt.
If you're looking for something that's a non-classic computer, I think
the QuickPAD Pro is sort of nifty:
