Me.
The days of 4K core is long gone.
I have Unibus machines that were 8 or more "system units" (DD11CK
equivalents), and a PDP-11/20 that takes up 3 BA-11 boxes. 60% of it
is 4K core stacks, BTW, just like the day it was made in 1972. It
only has a handful of peripherals (console, RK11, LP11...)
Use TTL and try to keep the systems small.
That's great if one is cobbling together a new system, but it doesn't
help when one is trying to breathe life into an existing system by
adding a modern peripheral because ancient disks are no longer
reasonably available.
