Godbout/Compupro ran MS-DOS on their S100 8085/8088 system boards.
An interesting story. CP/80-86 was the normal OS for these things, but
a few users wanted PC-DOS (this was around 1.x or 2.0). Microsoft was
willing to license the OEM customizable version for a considerable lump
of cash, but Godbout determined that it would hardly be worth the cost,
given the low number of sales. So a scheme was adopted where the $40
copy of PCDOS could have the
IBMBIO.COM file replaced on the system disk
with one of Compupro's own crafting. Worked pretty well for a
PC-incompatible.
