Buying desktop hardware and installing a server OS doesn't make a
server-class system any more than sitting in a puddle makes you a duck.
[Cipher in a.s.r] Do you mean hobbyist or COTS? There are several
hobby SBCs that can do it,
including the P112 and N8VEM. There are 68k and 8086
boards as well.
I don't know what COTS is. I read about several nice looking kits but I was
wondering if there's anything you can buy complete, over the counter these
days or if everybody is running CP/M on old boxes.
