Not recalling what the other trick was, here's an alternate idea. All
that you need is: the almost appropriate tool that isn't long enough;
a suitable piece if steel rod about the same diameter as the shaft of
the tool that isn't long enough; bolt cutters or a hacksaw; and some
JB Weld. :-)
