Tony, as an example, AVR-GCC is a good C compiler
which has all (C)
sources which you can recompile on your prefered classic computer.
... Assuming said classic already has a native C compiler and sufficient
memory, I assume. I've yet to see a GCC-anything that will run on an 8
bit micro, for example.
