the "write-protect" slide switch is present
only as an inert bump on
the side. Could those be bogus?
I was reading the spec recently, and was somewhat shocked to discover
that SD does not have a write-protect switch. It has a movable thing
which the host can sense (if the hardware for it is working right) and
may choose to treat as a write-protect switch if it happens to feel
like it.
