Hmm. You could pull the lid on the Amiga drive and coax it into life by poking
at the spindle; I've done that before with good results. Just obviously be in
a position to start copying data immediately.
Strange that the backup drive died though. There might be a surface mount fuse
on the drive that's gone, but it's an unusual failure.
