Windows Write did serve me pretty well too at one point in time though -
enough features to be useful, but requiring an OS/GUI that wasn't too bloated
for the ancient Toshiba laptop I wanted to do some wp work with. I think I
tended to flip between it and Abiword on the Linux side of things.
These days I use Openoffice though, or Kate if I just need to run off some
plain ol' ASCII.

Scary how many places say you *have* to use a computer/wordprocessor these days.
