Sorry for my blockheadedness, but I'm still not clear on this.
Maybe because the 1541 is a simpler first step? I wish I saw this project
earlier so I could have gotten in on the group buy of PCBs. Since this
thing is powered by a PIC18, the firmware source is available, and is
easily reprogrammable, hacking in 1571 support shouldn't be too hard.
This thing looks like just the thing I need to quickly have some fun with
my old C64.
