Yeah, "DSED" - a huge flop. Then the various flopticals - 3M, Caleb,
Brier... All mutually incompatible, no matter how similar they
appear to be.
5.25" had the Drivetec/Kodak in various flavors. Fortunately,
formatting isn't an issue, because the end-user can't. Another of
those wonderful ideas that product development doesn't perceive as a
liability.
