That darned PDP font

This probably comes up every other year or so, but I am looking for the font used on older DEC literature. It may or may not be the one used for the actual PDP11 logo (only three character examples there ;) but it is the one used on the covers of the old Handbooks, like this one: http://gargravarr.cc.utexas.edu/cc/artifacts/dec-pdp-11-processor-handbook-… There are many similar round fonts out there, and one could make the pdp11 logo out of them, but the other characters fail. Has this mystery been solved? Internal font? All hand drawn? -- jht
