I've got an 11/45 + 2 RK05 that I acquired more than 25 years ago, in a
running state,
but is no longer working after a move in 1992. I also have a full print
set and bunch of RK05 disks. I also acquired a second CPU and just pulled
the
cards for spares, so there is an entire set of spare cards for the CPU, as
well
as an extra power supply.
I've realized that I have too many interests and too little space so want to
find a good home for it. Obviously it will require some restoration after
sitting for 20 years.
Any recommendations on how to sell and a fair price?

I picked up a users manual for this, but it doesn't have detailed service information.
Anyone have a real service manual for these? Chuck Guzis mentioned that the 8" floppy encoding
was GCR, the disks aren't readable with a normal FDC.

Was that before or after the split of District 214 into 214 and 215? When
I graduated from Arlington High School in 1969, Rolling Meadows was part
of the same district, and the Computer Math (i.e., FORTRAN IV) class was
taught using the 1401 at the school district building near the Mt. Prospect/
Des Plaines city limits line. Monday and Thursday evenings down Northwest
Highway.
(Lemme see, Arlington, Prospect, Rolling Meadows, Elk Grove, Palatine,
Fremd, Wheeling and Buffalo Grove, if I remember the flags on the gym wall
correctly. Hersey and something to the south came into being my senior
year. That was District 214. Lots of people I knew went to Harper as a
start on their college careers.)
The next year, 3 of the schools in the district got 1620s (a good friend
who was a year younger was the operator for the one at Arlington). By
the mid-1970s, I was out of touch with anyone in that area and don't know
how things developed, though I did hear about the district split from a
freshman at Ohio State when I was a senior (1975).
HP 2000, hmm? We're in the middle of putting a 21MX and a later 1000 into
service at the museum.

Folks,
Does anyone have a hardcopy of the DL10 (PDP-10/PDP-11 interface) maintenance manual? We have a microfiche of it, but the detail in a very important drawing is lost, and we very much need that to understand some of the verbiage that accompanies it.
Thanks,
Rich

Just an FYI, since I figure there might be one ortwo people here who are
interested: The Imlac emulator I've been working on has finally reached
a point where it's pretty functional, so I've put v0.0 out there.See the
below for more details:

I *will* be releasing source for this, but not quite yet. If you try it
out, let me know what you think!
Thanks,
Josh
...is anyone familiar with these terminals?
I have one hooked up to my linux box, via a null modem cable.
That works fine, but no matter how I set things, I can't get it to
display to display drawing characters properly, no matter how I set
$TERM and how I set the settings on the terminal.
In fact, the only way I can get it to really work (without the drawing
characters) is in vt100 mode. Very strange...
