Funny to see it speak of rusted vacuum tubes. I'd simply call them "dirty"
-- which won't stop them from working and if you care can be cleaned off easily
enough.
"Plugboard" to me suggests a panel into which you plug wires to program an early
programmable machine, like ENIAC. This is a chassis that accepts lots of plug-in vacuum
tube logic elements.
Overpriced? Yes. A $50 or even $100 bid would not be quite so crazy, though.

I dunno,
I'd pay $5, maybe $10 for ONE unit, as is, I'm cheap, probably means
others would pay $10-20. I count several hundred units, though some
are missing the vacuum tube, and almost worthless (but then there are
extra tube that could be plugged in, the purchaser would not know it
was the wrong tube). Two hundred at $15 each is $3000. At least.
write up so interesting doc with a photo of the original unit, and
mount in a frame, and sell them for $40-60 each.

That is Avast's own malware!
YES, altering your files or settings without authorization is malware.
If/when you install Avast, it sets up to append that to all of your
outgoing email! Fortunately, it doesn't know how to currupt using PINE
on a remote computer.
There is a simple checkbox to uncheck to get rid of that. But they hide
it deep in their menu tree:
To stop Avast from adding its promotional signature or "virus-free" tag to
your outgoing emails, open Avast, go to Menu > Settings > Protection >
Core Shields, scroll down to "Configure shield settings", select the "Mail
Shield" tab, and uncheck "Add a signature to the end of sent emails".

Looks to me more like a spare tubes rack, not a "plug board" of tubes
other than the fact that you plug them into the board. Imagine the
wiring you'd have to have underneath if there was actual plugboard
logic. Plugboards are for plug wires not tubes. It is very rare
though.
