That's fantastic!
If you have blank fuse PROMs but no way to program,
contact me off-list and I can blow a set on the Data I/O 29B.
Unfortunately, when we did bipolar PROMs at work, it was not those
parts (I personally burned hundreds of 6309 256x8 PROMs, the same ones
used in the Apple Disk II card - I did make one spare set of Disk II
PROMs for myself).
Congrats on figuring it out though. It's a great feeling to be able
to change a device model entirely by just jumpers and programmable
parts.
