Folks,
During lockdown I was having some fun redrawing old DEC manual covers
with Inkscape, specifically terminal and printer manuals from the late
1970s. I've attached a montage of four that I printed out so I could
stick it on the wall. I'm aware I may be the only person, even here,
who finds them attractively simple and coloured in such a definably
1970s way.
Some of these designs were used on several manuals, but I'd like to
know if you know of any other designs that follow this pattern that I
could add to the collection? The VT102 User Guide has different
colours, so it looks out of place. A copy of the LA34 User Guide is
winging its way to me as we speak.
For an infinite number of bonus points, does anyone have any clue who
might have designed these?

Vaguely related: many years ago I created a font file for the lettering found on the
earlier PDP-11 handbooks. I included some letters that didn't appear on those covers,
guessing at what one might look like (the letter "x" for example).

Let me add my "plus one" here! I appreciate both the original designs
and your faithful reproductions. Did you use a font for the cover
texts or recreate them by hand? I know DEC was making heavy use of
Avant Garde Bold during this period, including the alternate glyphs
here and there (I have a document in my near-term scan queue that
shows how NOT to use those glyphs!) IIRC, the corporate style guide
specifies AVGB and some form of Helvetica for advertising and
documentation use.
IBM's 1960s and 70s covers were fun, too, although a completely
different style. Mostly geometric designs that remind me of textbooks
from that era.

I would like to say, "From mushrooms of that era".
The mid 70's seem to be point where textbooks went from
"HOW to use the XXX 1234 punch card computer"
to real Computer Science books like "Programing in A-Z for average student"
