I use an 842 here quite frequently, and as far as memory serves, it's
side-hole-blind.   That is, a disk with a single-sided aperture only can
still be processed as a double-sided disk.

However, as Fred says, best to check the jumpers.  I believe that Al has
put the OEM guide on bitsavers.
