"p-code" does come from Pascal-P, but Pascal-P wasn't a version of UCSD
Pascal. Pascal-P was developed on the CDC 6600 in 1972.
UCSD Pascal didn't come about until 1977, so the term p-code predates UCSD
Pascal by five years.
