I just replaced my old Metcal base unit - a PS2E? - last year off ebay for $40.  I get tips NIB for $8-15.

It's old, and ugly, and probably not as efficient as the new ones, but I can do sub-mm trace repairs with it, or build a working harness for my motorcycle.

I love me some Metcal.
