Greetings,
Long story short, as the subject line says, I'm looking for some
VAX/VMS v4 era software. I've been working on putting together a
"turnkey" VMS v4.7 system — I've mentioned it over on the SIMH mailing
list once or twice, and if anyone is on the ClassicCMP Discord server,
Mainframe Enthusiasts Discord Server, or DEC Discord¹, you've likely
seen me mention it multiple times — and I'm currently trying to copies
of some of layered products.
To the crux of the issue, does anyone here have — as an image, or
media that they are are willing to image/have imaged — the
installation media for the following software for VAX/VMS v4.x?
• VAX NOTES
• VAX P.S.I.
• VAXset/DECset — specifically the Language Sensitive Editor
• CGRAF and CIMI
And just because I have a deep loathing for myself:
• Eunice
I'm also always open to any other software for VMS v4.x if anyone has
any they want to share.

Every time I see that product name I mistake it for one that was in development around
1980, a typesetting system running on VMS. I thought it was going to be called DECset but
my memory certainly has faded. And I don't know if it ever shipped. It seemed to be
the successor for Typeset-11 (TMS-11) which I worked on 1978-1980, also using VT71
terminals I'm pretty sure but more powerful so it could do typesetting for more than
just newspapers.
Does that ring any bells with anyone?

Christian, i’m on the discord but I haven’t seen your request.
I think either Credicki or Silent700 has put together a few turnkey VMS systems, so you
might want to ask again.

Creideiki, actually; which is the nickname I use on Discord. I've been
more active on the Mainframe Enthusiasts and DEC servers than on the
ClassicCMP one, but I do lurk.
And, actually I am reminded, for anyone who hasn't seen the turnkey
that's been mentioned, it's on my website:

There's a few other turnkeys too, which are mostly works-in-progress,
save the RSTS/E one — which is pretty complete.

Is 13 a typo? I recall from back in the day running VMS 4.5 on a
MicroVAX II that 17 was a pain to port and 18 had VMS support. I never
thought earlier versions were available enough to be recoverable now.
I found a bunch of version 17 and 18 VMS GNU Emacs ports on DECUS
tapes, which is likely your best source: getting a DECUS tape from the
late 80s (which is only slightly later than VMS 4.x release). (I did a
deep dive into gnu emacs versions a couple of years ago after I did
the deep dive into kermit versions)
Do you know where to get GNU Emacs 13 at all? Let alone the VMS port
of it? If so I'd love to know because that combination didn't show up
on my previous delving.
