I have an 11/93 with 2MB of memory onboard. I would like to kick it up
to 4MB. I got some memory a while ago that was supposed to be PMI for
it but it turned out to be UNIBUS and thus no help. I have some old
fashioned QBUS memory module floating around. Will these work to add
the missing 2MB or can the 11/93 only use PMI?
Would be nice to wake this old box up again. I have this cool
Decromancer just crying for somewhere to run.

Bill,
You can use regular QBUS memory in an 11/93 if you put it after the CPU board. That
is, assuming your CPU is in slot 1 (which it probably is), then the QBUS memory goes in
slot 2 (and beyond if multiple boards). If you had a separate PMI board then that would
go in slot 1 and the KDJ11 into slot 2. Do NOT put the QBUS memory ahead of the CPU, that
won't work. Conversely, you CAN put PMI memory after the CPU, it then just functions
as a QBUS memory without the performance enhancement.
