Turns out there are strobe light tachometer apps for smart phones that can be at least as
useful as a lamp. I was able to use one to set the spindle speed of an Atari 1050 (288
RPM), despite the tach disc being for a 300 RPM drive, by setting the strobe frequency to
57.6 Hz.
