We spent 64-65 in japan, bought a TV, brought it back, channels were different, so i bought a surplus tv tuner at that place on elston in Chicago an replaced it. These were tubes. I started in electronics taking apart the 8" tv we were given, which had two complete chassis, each with a hefty power supply, mostly full size tubes, IIRC. <pre>--Carey</pre>
