Does anyone have or know of an archive of old
mod.sources (predecessor
of comp.sources.unix) posts? I know googlegroups has it, but that only
means nothing since it's effectively inaccessible there.
Maybe https://archive.org/details/usenet-mod . It includes
mod.sources.mbox.zip
(https://archive.org/download/usenet-mod/mod.sources.mbox.zip).
There's also mod.sources.doc.mbox.zip
(https://archive.org/download/usenet-mod/mod.sources.doc.mbox.zip) in that
usenet-mod archive.
Usenet-mod is just one of MANY usenet archives to be found in Usenet
