I don't recall seeing it since I moved house in 2006, so it may be lost.

Yep.  That list is here: as well 
as the gem-chat list.  The archive only goes back to 2003 though.

Send it to the Internet Archive. :)  It's nice to know that Roger sent out 
more than one copy.  BTW, I talked to Roger a few years ago, he's into 
sailboats now.  No where near anything even resembling IT. :)
