Also note that other such adapters exists, the zoomFloppy being one eaxmple:

If you connect the right drive to it (a 1571), you can possibly write
some other foirmats than Commdore's, see
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commodore_1571

Depending on what formats OpenCBM supports, of course.
