Is tape dead?

Along the lines of this thread... back a few years ago when it was mentioned on the list that the last company making 1/2 mag tape was ceasing production, I bought a couple cases (I think 24 tapes total). I'm about 3/4ths of the way through them.

Anyone know if new manufactured 1/2 mag tape can still be purchased these days and where? I don't want NOS that's been sitting on a shelf for 10 years....
